Rachael Boyce – Director/Clinical Manager
Rachael has been qualified since 1994 and has a well rounded background in physiotherapy having worked in New Zealand and overseas, having worked with the British Army and various sports teams; and in the last decade specialising in Occupational Health and Vocational work. Rachael has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, a Certificate in Spinal Manipulation and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health. She is also a Pilates Instructor,to an advanced level.
Peter Boyce – Director/Financial Manager/IT
Pete’s focus is to keep Active Health at the forefront of delivering services that utilize technology. As well as streamlining communication between medical team members and other parties that are quick and efficient to ensure patient service delivery is fast. Pete has a Diploma in Computer Science and has managed several companies. He is responsible for company finances, advertising/marketing and our IT maintenance and development.
Lucy Finch – Team Leader & Senior Physiotherapist/Advanced Pilates Instructor
Lucy is an English trained physio with double degrees in Physiotherapy and Zoology. Lucy has been working at the Active Health since 2009 and is trained McKenzie spinal therapist and Advanced Pilates Instructor. She has an interest in Sports Medicine and rehabilitation and has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine.
Melissa Edwards – Senior Physiotherapist
Melissa is a New Zealand trained physiotherapist, graduating in 2010. She has experience in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries including sports injuries, spinal, work injuries and doing post-operative rehabilitation. Melissa has an excellent patient rapport and is able to communicate well with patients and third parties to work to achieve best results for the patient.
Rebecca Crawford – Senior Physiotherapist
Rebecca joined our team in early 2014 having graduated from Otago University in 2013. She is an avid sports person and has worked with rugby teams the last few years. Rebecca also provides physiotherapy at Alliance Smithfield
Romain Lahaut – Senior Physiotherapist
Romain joined our team in 2018 after immigrating to NZ. Romain trained in Belgium where he completed a Bachelor Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2011 and went on to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2012
Suzanne Goodwin – Staff Physiotherapist/Pilates Instructor
Suzanne joined our team in 2017 moving to Timaru after completing her Physiotherapy degree at Otago University. Suzanne is originally from Zimbabwe and enjoys teaching our pilates classes.
Ed Chang – Staff Physiotherapist
Ed joined our team in 2018 moving to Timaru after completing his Physiotherapy degree at Otago University. Ed has a strong interest in Sports Physiotherapy.
Brad Robinson – Staff Physiotherapist
Brad joined our team in 2018 moving to Timaru after completing his Physiotherapy degree at Otago University. Brad is a keen hunter and outdoorsman .
Robert Francis – Staff Physiotherapist
Robert joined our team in 2018 moving to Timaru after completing his Physiotherapy degree at Otago University.
Jessica Sheed – Occupational Therapist
Jess joined our team in 2018 . Jess completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Otago.
Andrea Adams – Practice Manager
Andrea is our Practice Manager. Andrea can be contacted for all enquiries regarding new employment positions at Active Health, and any new or existing business queries. Andrea has been with our team since the early 2000’s and has a wealth of knowledge about Active Health and the health system, having worked in a variety of roles with us over this time.
Robyn Warburton – Receptionist
Robyn is our smiley face on the end of the phone and on behind reception from Monday to Friday.
Sharne Nelson – Receptionist
Sharne is our 2nd full-time receptionist who we were lucky to hire in 2018. Sharne mans the front desk with Robyn and assists with Administration work.
